Hi, I'm Aine Rock

“When you are in harmony with nature, when you live, eat, sleep, work in harmony with nature, you will have optimal health and a vibrant life.” – Avanti Kumar-Singh

Ayurveda is an ancient healing system that uses the natural rhythms of our bodies and of nature for optimal wellness. This week on Rock Your Joy, Aine spoke with Dr. Avanti Kumar-Singh, a medical doctor who now uses integrative medicine in her practice. Dr. Kumar-Singh has valuable advice on using Ayurvedic principles, creating routines, and using the tools of yoga. Listen in for tips on taking control of your health.

Ayurveda is considered the mother of all healing systems. The ancient, Indian practice has been around for thousands of years and uses the rhythms of nature to promote health and self-healing. Dr. Avanti Kumar-Singh is a trained medical doctor who returned to the Ayurvedic healing system of her youth to help heal her own chronic conditions and offer integrated healing to others.

Today on Rock Your Joy, Dr. Kumar-Singh spoke to Aine about the principles of Ayurveda, the tools of yoga, and how people can take their health into their own hands by becoming more aware of their own patterns.

Listen and learn how you can create routines that promote health, and how you can find meditation in everyday things.

When Avanti Kumar-Singh left her medical practice to teach Ayurveda full time, many of her contemporaries thought she was crazy. And for a brief moment, she believed them. Yet as soon as she decided to trust her instincts and own her deep expertise in the practice of Ayurveda, the universe responded in kind, and the opportunities to start spreading her profound knowledge of healing came pouring in. Now, as Chicago’s premier thought leader and go-to expert on Ayurveda, Avanti’s mission is to share the methods that transformed her life with as many people as possible.
