Hi, I'm Aine Rock

“I think so many of us are in a state of doing and this time of just being has been so beautiful.” – Rea Frey

Rea Frey is an author who averages a book a year. The number one question she gets asked is how she became an author. This week on Rock Your Joy, Rea is demystifying the publishing process. Rea is also an experienced homeschooler and imparts some wisdom to those struggling with COVID-induced distance learning. Listen for her advice and to hear more about her writing journey.

Many of us have thought about writing a book at some point in our lives. But writing a whole book is daunting, especially when the publishing process seems so out of reach. Rea Frey is a best-selling author here to demystify the publishing world. In addition to her own writing, Rea also helps aspiring writers realize their dreams through her company, Writeway.

On this week’s episode of Rock Your Joy, Rea shares her journey from dreamer to writer. She also talks about her journey homeschooling her daughter. For all parents struggling with COVID-related school closures, she has some advice: homeschooling is not the same as distance-learning, go easy on yourself!

Listen to the episode for writing and homeschooling advice.

Rea Frey is the author of four nonfiction books and three novels. While her path to publication seems like a dream, it was a long, arduous process to get there. The only reason she got a four-book deal with one of the Big 5 publishers is this: she began to look at her book as a product and publishing as a business.

That was a complete game changer.

Now, as the CEO and Founder of Writeway™, she teaches aspiring writers how to become published authors too. When she’s not promoting her novels or running her business, you can find her homeschooling her daughter, spending time with her husband, traveling, exercising, or plotting her next great adventure.
